      A Class A Member of the PGA of America, Savio Nazareth joined the Starmount Forest staff in April 2005. He was named the Head Golf Professional on March 1, 2018.

      A native of Tanzania, Savio had a busy 2017. After winning the Carolinas PGA Section Championship in September in a sudden death playoff, he qualified for the 2017 PGA Professional Championship. In addition, he earned a spot in the PGA Wells Fargo Championship with that win. On top of that, he earned the Carolinas PGA Player of the Year award for 2016, which earned him a spot in the PGA Wyndham Championship, making for his fourth career appearance in that event. He was also asked to play as a marker on the final day of the PGA Championship in Charlotte.

      Savio moved to the U.S. in 1995 and lived in Orlando, Fla. Playing collegiately at Brevard Community College and nearby Guilford College, Savio was the 2001 and 2002 ODAC Player of the Year. He was a member of Guilford's NCAA Division III National Championship team in 2002. After college, Savio played professionally on the Hooters Tour for two seasons.
